HOW TO GET TO HEAVEN FROM STILLWATER  COMMUNITY CHAPEL
(or anywhere else!)

  1.  Recognize that God requires perfect righteousness from you in order to enter heaven.  "For I tell you that unless your righteousness surpasses that of the Pharisees and the teachers of the law, you will certainly not enter the kingdom of heaven." - Matthew 5:20

2.  Admit that you do not have enough righteousness to satisfy God's requirement.
".....all our righteous acts are like filthy rags."  Isaiah 64:6b

  3.  Realize that the penalty for your lack of righteousness (sin) is eternal separation from God.
"For the wages of sin is death....." - Romans 6:23a

  4.  Understand that Jesus Christ satisfied God's requirement for perfect righteousness by living a perfect life and paying the penalty for your sin by dying on the cross.  "God made him (Jesus) who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God." - II Corinthians 5:21

  5.  Trust Jesus Christ, God's Son, to forgive all your sins in order to satisfy God's requirement of perfect righteousness, and to give you the gift of eternal life in heaven!  "This righteousness from God comes through faith in Jesus Christ to all who believe.  There is no difference." - Romans 3:22

One way to express your faith in Jesus Christ is through a prayer like this:
"Dear Lord, I now confess that I am a sinner who has sinned against you.  I understand that Jesus Christ, your only son, died on the cross for all of my sins and then rose from the deadI now trust Jesus Christ to be my personal Savior and accept His invitation to 'follow me.'  Thank you Lord Jesus for forgiving my sin and giving me the gift of eternal life.  In Jesus name I pray, Amen."
